Sometimes she is hilarious, sometimes she is touching and sometimes she is pretty sensitive. Our beloved Sridevi makes an impressive and marvelous comeback with English Vinglish. Sridevi commands Shashi in a way like no one else could and her emoting capabilities have not reduced a bit, for more watch her express love, anger, agony, disgust and insult in various reels of the film. Specially the scene where an antagonizing Sridevi is rebuked and embarrassed, rather harassed by a snobbish cafe owner needs mentioning. Refreshingly soft and ethereal, she mellows down her character wherever required and does everything with a dash of grace. Touching her acting prowess seems unmanageable and the way she casts a disarming spell over the viewers does not need obeisance.
Undoubtedly Heroine is Kareena’s film all the way and she delivers an smashing performance. She slips into the character with comprehension and confidence. Arjun Rampal leaves an impression as Aryan Khanna. Randeep Hooda is incredible in a brief, but valued role. Divyya Dutta as Kareena Kapoor’s PR Manager delivers best job. Res of the cast – Shahana Goswami, Sanjay Suri, Mugdha Godse, Govind Namdev, Delnaaz Irani is dose great support. Helen lends scintillation to the cameo.
