The dry run for Akshay Kumar is continuing. After giving the previous flop films like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan BMCM and Sarfira. Akshay’s newly released comedy film is on the verge of becoming his third flop film of 2024. Khel Khel Mein, comedy-drama film starrer Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Pragya Jaiswal, and Ammy Virk was intended to deliver laughs but instead fell flat, primarily due to its unfortunate release timing.
The film’s release clashed with Stree 2, which generated more buzz and became the audience’s first choice due to its successful part one. Despite Akshay Kumar starrer received good reviews. The uninterest of the audience created a negative impact on Khel Khel Mein box office collections in India.
Khel Khel Mein Movie Box Office Collections From Day 1 to Day 7
Day 1: The film opened low on its opening day, collecting only Rs. 5.05 crore at the box office.
Day 2: The movie hit extremely low on the second day, earning Rs. 2.05 crore at the box office.
Day 3: The film marginally grew on Saturday, collecting only Rs. 3.1 crore nett on the third day due to Stree 2 and Vedaa.
Day 4: The movie struggled big on day 4 and earned only Rs. 3.85 crore on Sunday.
Day 5: Despite the big festival, Raksha Bandhan Khel Khel Mein only collected Rs.2 crore net on Monday.
Day 6: The film lost its run on a working day, which managed to collect Rs.1.2 crore on Tuesday.
Day 7: The movie continued to hold and added only Rs. 1.04 crore on its seventh day, covering its Indian box office collections for its first seven days to Rs. 18.29 crore.

Khel Khel Mein, which was looking good before the release, lost its surface within the first week of the release due to heavy competition from Stree 2.
The film performed slightly better in urban areas but still didn’t meet expectations. Even with the benefit of a holiday release, “Khel Khel Mein” should have ideally crossed the Rs 10 crore mark but struggled to draw large crowds.
The movie had a reasonable occupancy rate of 40.26% in Hindi cinemas overall, doing slightly better in Mumbai with a 45.25% occupancy and in Delhi and NCR with 50.5% occupancy.
Even the same release day film Vedaa, which has John Abraham in the lead, tends to trend better than Khel Khel Mein, which was a multicast movie.

Akshay Kumar once again coming back to his favourite genre in this comedy-drama film. It is joined by Fardeen Khan, who is making a comeback after more than a decade. The film also has Ammy Virk, who recently got his success with his debut Bollywood film, Bad Newz. Aditya Seal, who has always surprised it with his acting, shares the screen with experienced actors.
The actresses are also making an impression in the film. Vaani Kapoor looks gorgeous and puts in an amazingly fetching performance. Taapsee Pannu who has recently given her impactful performance in Phir Aai Hasseen Dilruba, is becoming better in each film one by one, and Pragya Jaiswal, who is introduced as her first film looks beautiful on the big screen.

Khel Khel Mein is a full comedy drama film directed by Mudasser Aziz who has previously directed movies like Happy Bhag Jaegi and Pati Patni Aur Woh.
For those who may not know, the movie is a remake of the Italian film Perfetti Sconosciuti (Perfect Strangers), a popular film that has been remade in 25 different languages worldwide. The Hindi version marks the 26th official remake. This film is produced by a team that includes Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha, and Firuzi Khan.
The co-producer is Shiv Chanana, with Neeraj Kalyan as the President of T-Series. The story and dialogues are written by Mudassar Aziz, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sara Bodinar.
The film’s visuals were captured by DOP Manoj Kumar Khatoi, while Rupin Suchak handled the production design.
Ninad Khanolkar is the editor, and the costumes are designed by Sanam Ratansi.
The original background score is composed by John Stewart Eduri, with Arun Nambiar as the sound designer and Ajaykumar P. B. as the re-recording mixer.
