Since the budget of the movie is only 160 crore, the leading cast of the movie has been given a good amount of fees. Vettaiyan movie satellite and digital rights sold for more than 50 crores
As per the latest news the makers have sold the satellite rights to a leading Tamil network channel for Rs.65 crore and the film’s digital rights have been sold for Rs.90 crore.
Vettaiyan Box Office Prediction
The film is driven by many talented actors in it. However, the two backbones of Indian cinema are making a comeback together on a single screen after 33 years and will definitely crash the box office performance.
As per the buzz, the movie is said to earn 125 crore on Day 1 in India.
Analyst Ramesh Bala stated, “I can see the film grossing between Rs 125 crore and 150 crore across all languages on its first day and around Rs 275 crore over the weekend.” However, there is a catch here: the film is not typical Rajnikanth, and we shall see how it is received by his followers.
Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai said, “The combination is great and the highlight of the film is Amitabh Bachchan’s clash with Rajnikanth in the film. Although I don’t want to talk numbers, it is going to take a bumper opening and it has a beautiful release date with a six-day long weekend. There is no other release and ‘Jigra’ is too small a film and does not have a national market.”
According to Cinetrak, Vettaiyan made more than $500 in advance sales at the United States box office, with exactly six days until the film’s premiere date.
Vettaiyan’s North American debut grossed more over $600,000, and the film is expected to make another $1 million for Rajinikanth. According to industry observers, Vettaiyan’s North American debut might gross up to 1.5 million dollars.
