Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha witnessed the biggest flop in recent times. Movies such as Sarfira, and Selfiee films witnessed an uptrend compared to this movie. Despite the terrific cast like Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Jimmy Shergeill the film couldn’t save it from being a commercial success.
Speaking about the film’s director, Neeraj Pandey, famous for his exquisite direction and storyteller, couldn’t create a magic with it like his previous directed movies. The film’s weak story and editing are cited as primary reasons for its poor performance.
The film also faced competition from Janhvi Kapoor’s small-budget movie, Ulajh which received appreciation for the compelling performance from Janhvi Kapoor and other support cast.
Earlier, the film was postponed due to the big mass entertainer Kalki 2898 AD which did not help the movie to boost its box office performance.
As per the latest Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha box office collection is 11.88 crore.

Rating: ⭐️½
Expected so much more from this trio [#AjayDevgn, #Tabu, #NeerajPandey], but #AMKDT is dull and drab, gets tedious after a point… A simplistic plot that’s slow-paced, talk-heavy and overstretched… Even the finale… pic.twitter.com/7RWO6STvXd

“Decision to cast Shantanu and #SaieeManjrekar as the young #AjayDevgn-#Tabu was a major misstep tht truly destroyed the film. Good music. Director’s intentions were right, execution fell short. Good acting by the lead pair and Jimmy Shergill.”
User 3
“Ajay Devgn and Tabu have great chemistry…Performances were good by all. Cant say same about the movie. Plot outdated. Last 30 mins laughable, bad direction, stretched screenplay, but some sequences were emotional and sweet.”

Despite no major hype, I was excited to see @ajaydevgn and #Tabu on screen in a romantic role. Sadly, #AuronMeinKahanDumTha is a major disappointment.

Shantanu Maheswari & Saiee Manjrekar are the main leads of this film & show great promise, however
The film lacks the abandon we wish for in love stories. The thriller touch seems forced & it holistically becomes a tiring watch pic.twitter.com/d09uuU0MJO
Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha Movie Hit or Flop
Despite some strong performances from fellow actors, he movie fell short of the audience’s expectations. The film’s pacing and weak storyline fail to capture its specialty as a film. This experimental misfire, based on a love story from the 1990s that is unworkable in the present day.
Instead of directing a romantic film like Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, Neeraj Pandey is more suited for thrilling and action-packed films like Baby. Though the movie doesn’t use it much, M.M. Kreem’s music is delicate and beautiful.
It might be of interest to fans of the lead actors, but overall, it is a disappointing addition to their filmography.
Verdict – FLOP
