The much-awaited movie of the year 2024 has been released. From the brilliant cast to the director and producer of the film have given their best to make this film and match up to films like Avengers, Avatar. The movie broke many records and became the second-highest-grossing film of 2024 after Fighter.
The Superstar Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD film was released on June 27, 2024. The film is initially boosted via paid previews, which made it score a big number on the first day of its release.
With just its first week, the film hit the 200 mark and entered the 200 crore club in its Hindi version Worldwide.
The film brought in 153.15 crores net (estimates) from India in its first 7 days, bringing the total gross collections to about 180.71 crores. About 25 crores in total have been earned from North America alone concerning the international circuits.
At present, the Hindi belt has generated 205.71 crores in gross international earnings.

Day 1 – The movie debuted at the box office uptrend and collected a total of 22.50 Cr on Thursday Day 1 in Hindi.
While the maximum collections came from Telugu, earning about 69 crores, 4.5 crores in Tamil, and 2.5 crores in Malayalam, The total collections for its opening day of all versions stands at Rs 98.5 crores.
Day 2 – After the movie’s first day of release, on Thursday, it collected about 23.75 crores on Day 2, Friday despite adverse weather conditions in Delhi and Mumbai. The worldwide collections till day 2 stood at 298.5 crores.
Day 3 – Despite India vs South Africa final World Cup match, the movie gained momentum on day 3, earning 26.25 crore nett. The movie has made over 72 crore net in Hindi. The movie stood a momentous 415 crore Worldwide gross.
Day 4 – The movie Kalki 2898 AD broke all the barriers in its first three days of box office collection. The fourth-day film made a staggering Rs 40.15 crores which was way better than the previous three days. The movie collected about 116.50 crores worldwide.
Day 5 – After a strong weekend performance from the audience, the movie dropped on its first Monday with just about Rs 16.50 crores collected at the Box office. However, the movie did well globally collecting approx Rs.80 crore worldwide.
Day 6 – Like Monday the drops were continued. The movie collected about 13 crores on the weekday. It collected about 60 crores worldwide. However, looking at the trends, Kalki 2898 AD is trending better with the audience compared to the previous films like Fighter, Chandu Champion or Bade Miyyan Chote Miyyan.
Day 7 – With the postponement of Ajay Devgn and Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and the mid-sized release of the movie Kill, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to achieve significant numbers on Day 7, The film earned 11.50 crores.
The movie Kalki 2898 AD will become the highest-grossing film of 2024 by beating the lifetime collections of Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter.

Kalki 2898 AD: Movie Cast
The cast in the movie has done hard work to make this movie a blockbuster. The lead actors like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Kamal Hassan, and Amitabh Bachchan have acted brilliantly in their respective roles perfectly.
Amitabh Bachchan even has to go through a two-hour makeup for his role as Ashwathama. The actor is considered to be the heart of the movie. The director of the movie Nag Ashwin introduces him as Ashwatthama in Kurukshetra, the Mahabharata battleground, with jet-black long hair and a moustache, a look he’s never worn.
His performance and presence in the film is an awe to make you watch the movie more than once. His action sequences with Bhairava aka Prabhas are astounding.
The same has gone with Kamal Hassan, he has to spend nearly 4 hours on the makeup chair and two hours to remove his makeup. The actor does not have a big role in the movie however he mentioned the second part is more intriguing than the first.
During a press meet He said,’“In Kalki, I have played a small role that makes an appearance for a few minutes only. My real part in the film has only begun and I will have more to do in the second part. So, I watched this film as a fan and I was astonished.”
Deepika Padukone’s performance in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ shows her versatility as an actress. Her ability to deliver powerful, emotionally charged performances in both sci-fi and period films showcases her range and talent.
Critic Taran Adarsh praised Deepika’s performance, saying, “Deepika Padukone is splendid, navigating her part with authority and elan.” Pinkvilla supported a similar assessment, writing, “Deepika Padukone has a big role and is the film’s spirit. She gives a fantastic performance, conveying the appropriate emotions.”
Prabhas performance in Kalki 2898 AD is a treat to watch for his fans. He plays the character of Bharaiva, who gets his call to save the world. Prabhas has only gotten better after every Pan India film. He was terrific in Salaar and with Kalki 2898 AD he has transformed himself perfectly for this role.
