Kill : Movie Cast
The movie starring a fresh pair. The leading two debutants in the film, are Lakshya along with Tanya Maniktala.
Lakshya who was supposed to previously looking to debut from Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 plays a character of SPG Commando named Amrit who has brilliantly acted with his action sequences. He has shown great capability of becoming an action hero.
Tanya Maniktala, who has previously performed brilliantly in OTT films such as A Suitable Boy, Tooth Pari, and P.I Meena, plays Tulika, a character whose father is extremely influential and powerful.
The movie also has Raghav Juyal as Fani, a protagonist who steals from innocent people and comes face to face with Amit. With just a short movie, Raghav has shown one of the best performances in his career after ABCD and Street Dancer 3.
Lakshya while in an interview with The Telegraph India mentioned thanked producers Karan Johar and Guneet Monga and director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat for giving “outsiders” a chance in the movie.
Kill: About the Movie
As the movie is receiving all the love and appreciation from the audience. The movie offers much more than just the cast. The movie’s director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt who previously directed the survival drama, Apurva, clearly came with a bang for the movie, Kill.
Apparently, he has also written this movie which made us wonder why the movie hasn’t faded to even get the audience off their seats in the theatre.
Rafey Mehmood’s cinematography is amazing, especially given the restricted space he had to work with. He employs the lights to flip between modes of action effectively.
Shivkumar V. Panicker too had a difficult time keeping the action authentic. Karan Johar jointly produced the movie under Dharma Production and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment.
Speaking in an interview with The Hindu, the director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt mentioned the movie Kill has its roots in reality, such as the time Nikhil Bhat and a colleague passed out during an actual train robbery in 1995 (a similar scene is portrayed in the film with two police officers awaking late to the calamity).
With all the hardwork and effort put through on this movie, and it paid off when Kill movie made its TIFF debut last year, receiving strong audience feedback and finishing as the first runner-up in the ‘People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness’ category.
