Best Mishing Film - Boomba Ride

Boomba Ride” has been honored as the Best Mishing film, an Assamese creation directed by Biswajeet Bora and co-written with Lopamudra Gogoi. The film, was released on September 16, 2022. The story is about a young boy who is the only pupil in a lower elementary school which is on the verge of collapsing. However, the boy uses his wisdom and spreads awareness about the transformative power of education for a better societal life. As per the sources, the movie was wrapped up within a concise span of 13 days. The cast includes prominent names like Sadagar Daw, Dipali Pegu, Hiranya Pegu, and Indrajeet Pegu, all contributing to the film’s success.

Best Feature Film in Assamese Language - Anur

Anur” an Assamese film, is honored with the prestigious National Award for the year 2021. This movie was directed by Monjal Baruah, and marked his third directorial venture. The film is based on the short story “Bhal Puwar Xomoi” by Sahitya Academy Award-winning author, Anuradha Sharma Pujari. “Anur” tells the story of an elderly woman grieving the loss of her husband. An IAS retired officer helps her cope with her emotional turmoil in the story. The film featured Rajat Kapoor, Jahanara Begum, and Udayan Duarah in pivotal roles, enriching this heartfelt tale.

Best Actor - Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Telugu actor to win the National Award for Best Actor.
