The character demanded training in sports such as boxing and the long jump, which Vicky Kaushal prepared himself while shooting the movie.
In the video, Vicky Kaushal also talked about how he landed the role of Sam Manekshaw and how the director, Meghna Gulzar, was particular about each and every look and scene of the characters in the movie.
