Dangal Star Suhani Bhatnagar was seen with some rough skin and rashes. She went on medication for some time which eventually did not help her. She got some swelling after that she was shifted to the hospital. 

The news media NDTV mentioned, ‘’ Talking about her daughter’s symptoms, her mother Puja Bhatnagar said, “She developed a red spot on her hands about two months ago. We consulted with doctors in different hospitals but it couldn’t be diagnosed.”

After considering all the tests at AIIMS, Suhani’s parents got to know about this rare disease called dermatomyositis. 

To this Suhani’s father, Mr. Bhatnagar added that there was no improvement in her health and eventually her “lungs got damaged due to an infection and accumulation of excess fluid”. He continued, “She was put on the ventilator but there was no improvement.”

In two weeks before Suhani Bhatnagar’s death, her parents discovered she had this rare disease.

What are the signs and symptoms of dermatomyositis?

While interviewing Suhani’s mother by the press, she mentioned that Suhani had seen red spots on her hands followed by rashes and swelling on her body.

At X, Aamir Khan Productions house confirmed the news and mentioned about Suhani’s tragedy. “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, and such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts. May you rest in peace..

While speaking with the media, her mother spoke about the support of Aamir Khan throughout her daughter’s journey in the film Dangal. 

Based on the life of the famous wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Aamir Khan starrer became one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of all time, crossing over Rs 2,000 crore at the global box-office.
